7-8 Hour Tour After a quick but informative city tour, we head away from the hustle bustle, through prime kiwifruit country, into the lakes district and towards the volcanic plateau. See stunning Lake Rotoiti and Blue Lake, then arrive at the iconic Lake Tarawera. Enjoy the awesome view of the still active volcano that is Mount Tarawera, see ancient Māori rock paintings, and learn about the history of the world famous Pink and White Terraces and the Tarawera eruption. Enjoy a quick swim, or just relax at the cafe by the lake. Next we visit the stunning Secret Spot Hot Tubs and enjoy a relaxed lunch stop. Simply grab a bite and a drink and soak your feet, explore the grounds, or book your own private hot tub for a relaxing soak (extra charge). After lunch, we head into the famous Redwoods Forest. Go for a relaxing walk on the forest floor, or opt to do the wonderful Treetop Canopy Walk (extra charge); Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn about this unique ecosystem. Breathe in the cool and clean air high up in the forest as you explore the many walkways and bridges. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region. If time allows, there is also the option to enter the Glow Worm tunnels at this location (extra charge). On our way home, we visit the tallest commercially rafted waterfall in the world! Depending on time and fitness levels, there are different walking options: 1 minute (view the top of the falls), 12 minutes each way (best viewing area), 15 Minutes each way (includes the etherial Hinemoa's steps and the bottom of the falls. What a way to wind up your day in nature! Entry to the lakes, falls, the Redwood Forest Park and the Secret Spot Foot Spas is included. If you wish to experience the amazing Treetop Walk ($45Adult/$28Child NZD) and/or the private Forest Spa session ($46Adult/$18Child NZD), payment will be collected on the day. We definitely recommend you take the opportunity to partake in these exceptional experiences, however you are welcome to just take the included options too. Cold water, juice and the famous NZ Lemon and Paeroa drink provided Gluten free brownie, muesli bars, NZ traditional sweets provided.
